These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Alura Event Staffing application, website, and related services ("Alura"). By accessing or using Alura, you agree to these Terms.
Alura provides tools for event staffing management, including event creation, worker management, staffing assignments, job acceptance or decline, work reporting, time tracking, notes, and communication features.
Features may be added, changed, limited, or discontinued as the service develops.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for promptly notifying Alura if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
Businesses and administrators using Alura are responsible for the accuracy of event information, staffing requirements, worker assignments, compensation arrangements, and communications with workers.
Workers are responsible for reviewing assignment details before accepting a job and for providing accurate availability, time, and work-related information.
Alura does not guarantee that a worker will receive assignments or that a business will successfully fill a staffing request.
Users who voluntarily opt in to SMS notifications may receive transactional text messages related to staffing assignments and events.
Messages may include job assignments, event dates, times, locations, roles, reminders, schedule changes, and links used to review, accept, or decline an assignment.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive automated text messages is not required to use the basic Alura service.
You may opt out of automated text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may reply HELP for assistance.
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Alura may provide transactional email communications relating to account activity, job assignments, events, schedules, and services requested through Alura.
Alura may offer free features, trial features, and optional premium services.
Certain communication, automation, messaging, or account management features may require an active paid plan after a trial or usage limit has been reached.
Any applicable price, billing period, included features, and usage limits will be presented before purchase.
Alura may interact with third-party services including hosting, authentication, databases, email providers, messaging providers, payment processors, mobile operating systems, and other technology providers.
Your use of a third-party service may also be subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policies.
You may not use Alura to:
Businesses using Alura are responsible for obtaining any consent required before sending SMS communications to workers or other recipients.
Businesses must honor opt-out requests and must not send automated SMS messages to recipients who have withdrawn consent.
We work to keep Alura available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Service interruptions may occur because of maintenance, software updates, internet outages, third-party providers, or circumstances outside our control.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, use of the Alura software itself does not create an employment relationship between Alura and any worker or between Alura and any business using the platform.
Employment, contractor, payment, tax, insurance, and workplace obligations between businesses and workers remain the responsibility of those parties.
To the extent permitted by law, Alura is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service, missed communications, canceled events, staffing decisions, or actions of users or third-party service providers.
We may suspend or restrict access to Alura when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent abuse, maintain security, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.
Use of Alura is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
